the power of love (and bards)
« on: May 16, 2007, 06:44:04 PM »

so last summer, dave was working the gamestop at clark & howard.  i filled in for a few people's shifts a few times and got to know some of the regulars.  this one guy, nick smith, had just gotten a job there.  and luckily too, because if he didn't get a job that summer, his mom would've sent him to boot camp.

so during acen, i saw him, spoke to him for a bit.  he was like "hey, so this is your and dave's band, huh?  you guys are really good - i might get you for a party or something"  and we exchange numbers.

he just called me up, thanking the band and me because at the con, this one girl who was listening to us saw him talking to me.  to him, she was like "so, you know the band, huh?" and he's like "hell yeah" and they kept on talking throughout the convention and hooked up at the con.

hell yeah bard power

I bet there are many more unrecorded incidents of this sort.

Just imagine, two people sitting in a hallway. Suddenly, shouts of Freebird fill the room. The two laugh, softly so that only the other can hear, and begin listening to The Spoony Bards play. They look into each other's eyes and that's it for them.

Mmm... beautiful. ^_^

Edit: I totally didn't know that the ^ _ ^ turned into that creepy smiley. I am... disappointed.

Yes, that was the title. Man I was obsessed with that movie in the 6th grade. I would watch that whole ending part every day before going to school.

I had a lot of stuff to say about the initial topic of this thread... but at the root of it... that's really sweet.  Makes me feel awesome about what we do.  Thanks for putting that up, Jer.
