We will be playing our next show at Bill's Blues next Saturday, July 11th!  More information can be found here.  We'll be playing some new material, so definitely check us out.

That's right folks, Anime Central is just around the corner and we will be there all weekend! I think this is actually the most scheduled events we've ever taken part of at a convention, and this is going to be a particularly special occasion due to it being The Spoony Bards' fifth anniversary! It was 5 years ago at Anime Central that the band first came together as a result of a few musician's passion for video game/anime music, and look at the monstrosity we've turned into! We're like a miniature orchestra! So needless to say, it will be a busy weekend for us, but we are all extremely excited and have a lot of awesome new material that has never been played at the Hyatt to ring in the occasion!

We will be doing 3, count 'em, 3 concerts this year, including the Masquerade Charity Ball over in the Embassy Suites ballroom at 8pm on Friday night (with Dance Lessons starting at 7), a large concert block on Saturday afternoon at around 1pm in Main Programming where we will share the stage with The Slants, Mark Hildreth and Vic Mignogna, and our very own hour long concert on Sunday morning at 11am, also in main programming. In addition, we will be doing a Q&A panel in Rosemont Ballroom C at 9 am Sunday Morning, and If you look/listen hard enough, you just might be able to find us playing in the hallways on Saturday evening. -=Sly wink=-

Anime Central is THIS WEEKEND, May 8-10, at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont Illinois, and we hope to see all of you there!

If anyone is going to be in the northern Ohio area this weekend, I'll be playing a solo show at Shinboku-con, a one day event hosted by Lorain County Community College on April 18th.

The concert is at 1:00 PM. If you're in the area, check it out! The convention is free and open to the public.

Just as a reminder, we'll be heading to St. Louis/Clayton later this week for Kawa Kon 2009! It is in the opposite direction from where we usually travel for our gigs, but we're all excited to explore the western frontier again and can't wait to make our return to The Gateway City (thank you Wikipedia). We can hardly contain our collective excitement and we'll be passing the savings on to you this weekend at our two action-packed concerts!
