Jon I saw something awesome yesterday
by Jon - 6:55 PM on May 11, 2010
Yesterday I went to the local library to do some research and I saw something that made me smile:

The kid next to me was playing a Mega Man 3 emulator on the computer next to mine.  There is no way this kid was old enough to be a gamer when MM3 came out, but there it was on the screen.  I'm sure this has something to do with the retro Mega Man trend that came with MM9 and -10 for the Wii, and I'm glad for it.  In the sweep of games we're inundated with these days, it's good to see people picking up the classics.  Kudos to you, Mega Man 3 player!  Doc Robot is indeed a pain in the butt!

Natalie Journey to the West

Hey everyone! Right now we're gearing up for this year's ACen. I'd like to catch you guys up on what's been going on, so I decided to write my first blog entry :3

In the beginning of the year, we had the honor of being invited all the way to Anime Los Angeles for our first West Coast appearance. What a visit it was -- we all decided that it's one of the best cons we've ever attended; well organized, lots of fun things to do, and very hospitable. The staff and the fans were some of the kindest and most enthusiastic congoers that we've ever met (Gotta say, the badge ribbons are pretty sweet).

We had so much fun playing concerts for everyone, as well as experiencing many of the con events! Jamie, Alex S., and myself even got the incredible opportunity to see X-Japan film some music videos in Hollywood! O_O

On a sad note, this was Ronnie's last appearance with us (although we know she's with us in spirit at our gigs. I felt her tapping my shoulder. I KNOW IT WAS YOU, RONNIE). She put on an amazing show!

In short, we'd like to give a heartfelt thank you to Chaz, Lynn, and all the staff of ALA for this wonderful visit! We would love to go back to the West Coast and hang out with everyone again.

In other news, we hit up Anime Milwaukee about a month ago. I have to say the Student Union at UW Milwaukee is gigantic and quite a nice venue. :) The staff was very welcoming! We heard a lot about the food in Milwaukee; Jamie and Jer made a pitstop at Mar's Cheese Castle on the way there. I myself got to try the local, home-made root beer and the custard from Culver's. A winning combination for sure. Anyway, we very much enjoyed playing music for everyone!

Suuuupaadave The Bards Go West
by Suuuupaadave - 9:46 PM on January 6, 2010
This weekend January 8-10, we'll be making our first ever appearance on the west coast at Anime Los Angeles.  We'll be having 3 concerts and even doing a Q & A panel to answer your burning questions.  The entire band is more pumped for this gig than I think we've ever been before.  There will also be some new band merchandise on sale that you'll have to come to the con to find out about.  Call your friends, call your enemies, invite the in-laws, and get your butts down to LA for some good clean fun with the Spoony Bards!  For more info check out the con's website
